Scotland is an ambitious and forward looking nation. The Scottish Government has set world leading climate change targets committing the country to an 80% reduction of carbon emissions by 2050. In order to achieve these targets the way we live, work, learn and travel will change significantly from today.
Our people have given much to humanity, science, business and the arts in the past. But what will our future look like? The Scottish Qualifications Authority and Scottish Business in the Community’s inspirational new competition asks our young people to develop a piece of creative work that clearly shows their vision of our future - Scotland 2050.
Ideas can be developed in four broad categories:
All you have to do to enter is develop a scientific project or piece of creative work that shows your vision for Scotland 2050.
Entries are welcome from individuals and class groups.
Finalists will be invited to a high profile awards ceremony to receive public acclaim for their work and receive superb prizes!
The closing date for applications is 27 April 2012.
