Apprentice Mechanical and Electrical Engineer
Fraser currently works with LifeScan Scotland Ltd as an Apprentice Engineer. Keen to encourage more young people into Engineering, Fraser is giving something back and has taken part in a number of collective and single school events.

- Plant maintenance on the machines. - Striping and repairing parts of machinery. - Re-filling the Metronic printers with solvent. - Call outs to the machinery that is used in the production rooms. - Snap on evaluation on the web production line. |
| What made you decide to do this type of job? (teacher/ role model etc) | From a young age I have always been interested in how things work and why they are used. |
| How did you get to where you are now? | I started working in a engineering plant part time until I left school. I then started working with two domestic electricians before starting work at LifeScan. |
| What motivates you? | I enjoy a good challenge and working under pressure. |
| Any other info? E.g. activities you have done with schools, what you can offer schools etc. | Because I am still a teenager myself I feel that I can engage and interact with school aged people effectivley. |
