5 things you do regularly in your job
  • Design electronic devices and systems
  • Write computer & embedded software
  • Teach students at the GSA in electronics
  • Design and deliver digital technology prototyping workshops
  • Research into digital media and technologies
What made you decide to do this type of job? (teacher/ role model etc) I have always enjoyed making things, and was supported at school by my General Science teacher, who let me build and research projects during my lunchtimes in his prep room.
How did you get to where you are now? Not being afraid to follow my heart, and doing work in areas I find inspiring.
What motivates you? Designing and creating ideas, in electronics and software.   I also get very motivated working with people who are willing to give it a go.
Any other info? E.g. activities you have done with schools, what you can offer schools etc. I design and provide workshops for Schools, primarily in the areas of robotics, electronics, and digital media systems I can offer a wide range of workshops that suit a wide range of ages. From simple circuit robotics workshops to designing and building multi point environmental data logging systems with internet based reporting. I also work with mobile devices and have created many interactive mobile phone based systems. I am also very keen to listen to what you the school would like to have and can design and deliver workshops to your own specifications
