Energy Careers

The University of the Highlands and Islands offers over 20 courses in energy, engineering and construction from HNCs to Honours Degrees.

There is also a list of university courses that are accredited by the Energy Institute. This includes courses at the University of Dundee, the University of Aberdeen, Robert Gordon University, Strathclyde University and Heriot-Watt University.

Education Scotland has produced a new Working in the Energy Sector leaflet  which can be downloaded the Education Scotland website.

The Energy Zone has a wide range of information, you can download fact sheets about job opportunities for Renewables, Oil & Gas and Nuclear.

www.oilandgas4u.com have some interactive tools to test your skills, match your degree and get link to current job opportunities. There are also case studies and a link to their apprenticeship scheme available. 

BP have produced an 8-page booklet which introduces the energy industry and outlines career options for students interested in Science, Engineering and Business.
