Orkney Science Festival

Orkney International Science Festival, now in its 22nd year, attracts visitors from across the UK for its annual seven-day programme of events in an island setting. Venues range from modern lecture theatres to historic buildings such as Skaill House and St Magnus Cathedral.

• Topics this year will include astronomy and archaeology, renewables and radio history, music and mathematics, physics and food, Einstein and Eddington
• There are events throughout the day, with talks and workshops, concerts and ceilidhs, rounding off in the Festival Club
• Locations: Kirkwall and the Orkney mainland, and on several outer islands as well
• Prices are mostly £4-5, with an option to buy a LecturePass for the complete package of all £4 talks

The festival will run from Thursday 6th to Wednesday 12th September, with the family day on Saturday 8th September.
