NASA's Earth Observing System has produced exciting data used in four posters covering the topics Air, Water, Land and Ice - download the power presentations here.
For primary children, the website primaryupd8 offers many activities, covering many areas of physics, chemistry, plants and animals. In line with current topics are the swine flu resource and the Darwin activities (www.evolutionmegalab.org).

The American website Science Buddies has a good selection of information, games and activities. In particular, the project ideas in a range of areas, and the job profiles, and the teachers page.
Planet Science is a website produced by NESTA and has resources to help primary and secondary science teachers to teach inspirational science in the classroom. There are resources for teachers along with interactive features, science activities and career related information.
Good interdisciplinary resources for hands on lessons are provided by the German organisation Science on Stage. They publish several handbooks, especially interesting are Teaching Science in Europe and Teaching Science in Europe 2, both times Chapter B.

Creative Encounters is a showcase of projects funded by the Wellcome Trust and designed to bring science to young people in an informal and creative way.

The Society of Biology (former Institute of Biology) has a very good collection of activities on www.practicalbiology.org
Genetics experiments for secondary school kids: 'I'm a worm get me out of here' for 11-14 year olds, 'Brine Date' for 14-16 year olds and 'The X Bacteria' for 16-18 year olds. Just log on to receive your free experiment kits!

Physics
Institute of Physics - Click the link 'schools and colleges' for all sorts of resources for teachers and students. A great resource here are the 20 Physics Tricks in a pdf document - you can even watch videos of the different experiments here.
Engineering Interact from the Department of Engineering at Cambridge Univeristy has a range of online modules that 9 to 11 year olds will enjoy.
Chemistry
The Royal Society of Chemistry - Click on the link 'educational and professional development', and from there the resources are available for both school students and teachers.
They also publish a book called 'Kitchen Chemistry' specifically designed for chemistry and cooking teachers, including practicals, demonstrations and paper-based exercises.
Geology
The British Geological Survey has many educational resources: ask-about -geology, the geological timeline, the geological timechart and many more.
